There is an exceptionally long wait involved; it will be most likely 2 1/2 years before we bring our baby home. Also, there is a TON of paperwork, which we are currently up to our eyeballs in. We've already been psycho-analyzed and fingerprinted multiple times, and still have physicals, more fingerprinting, and more visits with social workers ahead of us. It's a complicated process, and I will fill you all in on more of the details as we move along. For now, I will give you a few tidbits of what we are in for:
- Colombia does not allow first time parents to specify a gender, so we won't know whether we need pink or blue until 2-3 weeks before we go to pick our child up.
- We also will not know the specific age until that time, though we do know that he or she will be between 10 weeks to 1 year of age.
Please pray for the paperwork process, as well as our future (most likely not-yet-conceived) child. Check back for adoption updates, as well as general ramblings about our daily lives.

Julie, first of all, this is soooo exciting! I can't wait for sweet baby Ryle to arrive--even if it is going to have to be a couple of years. :)
Secondly, you would pick out the scrapbook-y-est blog layout, wouldn't you? I'm guessing Philip was not a part of this decision... ;) It's great--totally JuJu. Love you! Can't wait to be in the same state as you...just a few more weeks!
Love,Bethany
