Things are continuing on here. Luisa is getting less dependent on Mami to be within sight every second. I was able to cook dinner tonight without her hanging out in the kitchen in the kiddie chair. She was actually playing with Papi and Caroline the whole time. I was even able to sneak away during movie time after dinner to chat with a friend from home. (I am loving Skype and the Skype subscription we got to be able to call phones in the US. It's worth way more than the $2.99/month fee.)
We went to the market again today to pick up a few things. After an ice cream treat (complete with gummies on top, just like at home), Philip pushed the kids in the stroller around the mall level while I slipped down to the market. Caroline is enamored with a display cake in this fancy bakery that has an Ice Age movie theme. She asked if we can stay in Colombia until her birthday so she can have it. It even already has a 5 candle on top. I asked her who would come to her party, and she said, "Miss Magnolia and Abby!" Since her birthday is not until next August, I am thinking we will be home before then. :) Luisa didn't make a peep until Philip came down to the market level to help em load the groceries on the stroller. When she saw me and realized that I had not been with her the entire time, she started to cry. There was no putting her back in the stroller for the walk home! We're going to the zoo tomorrow, so I am hoping she will be ready to go back in it again.
Luisa is getting more comfortable navigating the apartment. She is actually quite quick when she wants to be. She is going to give Caroline a run for her money.
